Expectations – Hours, Dues, and Excuses
Hours (per semester):
- 4 Service Hours
- 4 Education Hours
Excuses (per semester):
- 2 Excused Meetings (School, Emergency)
- 2 Unexcused Meetings (Personal issues, Work)
Dues (per semester):
- Active Member: $20, New member: $10
Expectations: Conference & CPE
Conference:
- Each member will be required to attend one conference during 2014-2015 year
o Missouri Public Health Conference
o MOAPHERD
o Meeting of the Minds
o SLU Public Scholar Bowl and Case Study Team
Attire:
- Each member will be required to purchase formal SPHA attire
o Polo
o Cardigan
What happens if I don’t meet expectations?
- If you do not complete required hours, you will no longer be a member of SPHA
oAll hours must be submitted by December 5th (Friday before finals)
- Treasurer will set date for dues.
o Must be paid on that date or you will be charged a fine for each additional week, plus will be meeting with President

SPHA Capstone Grant
- Grant Application will be available online by Friday
o Due on October 1st
- Three weeks away
- Exec will look over application and decide monetary amount that will be given
o General body vote will occur at general meeting afterward
- If interested in receiving grant for 440 capstone project please see me after meeting

- Leaving at 7:00 am
- Back in Kirksville by 6:00 pm
- Cost: $50 per person
oIncludes breakfast, lunch and registration fee
- may need to pay more depending on gas cost
