  • Info Nights (please attend!):
  • Service- Monday, January 30 at 7pm in PB 233
  • Education- Tuesday, January 31 at 7pm in PB 233
  • Both count towards your semester hour requirement!

Secretary: Bene Clear

  • Please send in absences through the website by noon the day of our meeting!
  • Submit all hours completed before the meeting, so I can have an accurate running total!
  • Log your hours! If anyone is having problems, let me know.
  • You need:

  • 2 Social
  • 4 Conference (per year)

Treasurer: Maha Mohamed

  • Pay dues by initiation if you have not already done so (yr).
  • 25$ – spring semester Find me if you need reimbursements.
  • Capstone funding applications will be available ASAP

Education Chair: Annie Fitzgerald 

  • Education Info Night–Tuesday, January 31 at 7pm in PB 233
  • NEMO AHEC Education Opportunity.
  • Create a presentation about healthcare ethics.
  • Assist with the workshop.

Professional Development Chair: Hannah Denkler and Gillian Mwangi

Social Chair: Rosie Schott

  • Please fill out the paper with three events you’d like to do this semester! It can be something we did in the past or something new.
  • I’ll collect them after meeting.

MOPIP Liaison: Tori Thompson and Leah Wright

  • Meeting of the Minds- start thinking about it! April 6-8, 2017.
  • Poster submissions until Feb 12th.
  • Focus on Drug and Alcohol prevention.

Fundraising Chairs: Brendan Cronley and Emily Quick

  • Fundraising Ideas
  • Baseball Tees (SPHA or HES or Both).
  • Grilled Cheese (or other food) Delivery Night.

Public Relations: Hyerin Kim

  • Consider joining our committee.

Dr. Clark:  

  • The ASHA National Conference will be held in St. Louis, MO on October 11-14, 2017.
  • The last time ASHA Conf was in MO was 2010 in KC.
  • We need to take advantage of this great professional development opportunity!!

Dr. Wodika: 

  • Environmental Sustainability Fee Accountability Committee will host constituent meetings until Feb. 17.
  • Students, faculty and staff can present their ideas for programs or projects the fee could fund during the upcoming school year.
  • I would like to submit a proposal for more organized and professional recycling bins on campus for each building. Are there students from SPHA who would like to help me submit a proposal?

  • Missouri Public Health Assoc. Conference, September 2017, in COMO.
